About This Project

The goals for this project were to strategize a name and design a brand that will be implemented across an identity system. This system will include a website, promotional handout, and wine label for a Winery located in Paso Robles, California. The brand will also be a on a mini wine carrier case that will include four varietals of red wine. The name Sylvan Oaks was derived from the town the grapes are grown in which is called Paso Robles, el Paso de Robles, or “Pass of the Oaks” and the wine will also be stored in oak barrels. The word “Sylvan”, which means one that frequents groves or woods, reflects the photographic elements on the labels. The photos on the labels was created by scanning leaves, grapes, and other fruit that make up the different flavors associated with white and red wines. All of the photos on the website were taken by myself at different vineyards in Paso Robles.
